Tourism Leaders Honored at State Conference


Leaders from the state’s tourism industry are focusing on the next 5 years.

That theme was echoed at Tuesday’s welcome reception for the 2014 Maine Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

450 of Maine’s brightest business and hospitality minds are gathering at Bangor’s Cross Insurance Center for the annual event.

Wednesday, attendees will take in presentations from travel experts.

Governor LePage is scheduled to speak too.

Tuesday, the group honored those who have helped grow the industry, like the Amtrak Downeaster.
